When I was little in Kent, I used to play with and love an old ginger cat. This is my Sunday Funny. 🙂
This isn’t a one‑off incident anymore. About a week ago, I walked into my room and found a cat on my bed, cleaning herself like she’d booked a private suite. She didn’t even pretend she wasn’t supposed to be there — just blinked at me like, “Oh good, housekeeping has arrived.”
I thought that was the end of it. But no. Today she was back, once again mid‑grooming, like she’d scheduled a follow‑up appointment.
The staff weren’t even surprised. They just said, “Oh yeah, she wandered in. Keep the door open so she can get out.” So apparently I’m not a resident — I’m a cat exit strategy.
She technically lives in the staff room. Every night when I go for my meds at 9.30pm, she’s there holding court. She’s got toys, a scratching post, and a whole entertainment setup. The staff play with her like she’s the evening shift mascot.
I went out one morning and the cat was sat behind one of the monitor screens in the office. I should have got someone to take a video. I put a pen in front of the cat (called Lucy) and she knocked it off. I did that for about 10 times. Cats are so funny. Check out Simon’s Cat on Youtube if you’re looking for some funny cat stuff.
