I travelled from Devon to London in a sports car with a friend. I was temping in central London and enjoyed the buzz of the city.
I shared a flat with two men. I lived in the attic and enjoyed the experience of temping in a lawyers office in central London.
The tubes used to make me anxious but I faced my fears and earned 6 pounds an hour. I missed my Mum when I moved there. I don’t think my sister or brother knew where I was living. We were out of touch by then.
London was fun. I didn’t go out much but do remember going to a pub with the two men I shared a house with.
I got a phone call from my ex and moved back to Devon to live with the man that became my husband.
I had a beautiful baby boy and remember feeling really healthy walking down the hill to the beach in Combe Martin when I was pregnant. I stopped drinking when I was pregnant but i continued to smoke.
Unfortunately the national health service weren’t so anti smoking back then.
