During my final-year studies at Unitec, I developed a photographic practice centred on authenticity and in‑camera technique. My work from that period was not photoshopped; instead, it relied on composition, timing, and the visual language principles I explored throughout the programme.
This approach allowed me to engage more deeply with the materiality of photography and the conceptual frameworks behind each image. The absence of digital manipulation became part of the methodology — a way to emphasise process, intention, and the integrity of the captured moment.
It remains a defining aspect of my artistic identity.
